A poem Before Breakfast
Early morning call, palest dawn creeping
Another grandson, arms held high for freedom
Time to start the latest day
To share the wonder, new eyes
Bright with promise of delight
And all day long he’s running back and forth
Between his loved ones and the world beyond
Lost in his moment, ardent
Explorer, poet, comic
Lovely boy, we watch in awe
21st May 2009, Hounoux, for Luca
i bet luca will love that one when he can read it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lily for being my very best follower!Have you seen the one I just wrote today - The Tortoise the Snail and Me- all about slow granny!
ReplyDeleteyour not that slow!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know what mum and Dan and Rosie say though 'Grandma's slow but grandma's old'!!! Slowness can be really good though you know- especially when it means you can walk and talk and look at the insects and collect flowers like you and I often have.
